Nick,
I was there for quite a while asking questions. The captain knew the history of the regiment and explained the uniforms, layout of the camp and answered every question.

I was off Cape yesterday and missed the Confederates who decamped this morning. Too bad!

When I was in college I commanded a Confederate drill team that fought a Civil War battle with Ohio State University's Union team.

It was fun, but we never got into camping out and living the life as these re-enactors do. I really wish we had.

It is very amazing to see how authentic everything is. There they were on this hot day in wool uniforms. They made me want to see a reenactment.
