Thanks! Although I’ve read about the history of liberty ships and the courageous role they and their crews played in WWII, these are the first actual photographs I’ve seen.
Nick, You're most welcome. This is one of the only two liberty ships still sailing. It is berthed in Baltimore; the other is in San Francisco. The 70 man crew included a few who had served on liberty ships.
John, I was glad to be able to tour the ship so I could take these pictures. The crew was thrilled to answer questions, and just about every part of the ship was open for touring. It was great.

My grandfather and his brother worked on the ships down in Brunswick (GA) during the war years.
